It is shown that the choice of the path of the SFC to fill the space using the SFC affects the control performance for both upward and downward set-point changes, and that steady-state errors may arise from the discrete nature of the controller. A new H-SFC and a Zooming Algorithm are proposed to ensure the control performance is symmetrical for both the upward and downward set-point changes, and to minimize the steady-state errors with minimal additional computation.
