By using the 2-regularized determinant of the harmonic transfer operator, which is a Hilbert-Schmidt operator, of finite-dimensional linear continuous-time periodic (FDLCP) systems, a generalized Nyquist stability criterion is derived in this paper. The generalized Nyquist stability criterion is necessary and sufficient and stated by means of infinite-dimensional linear time-invariant (LTI) continuous-time systems. Theoretically speaking, it can be viewed as a counterpart to the well-known Nyquist criterion of LTI continuoustime systems and applies to most practical FDLCP systems.
