Anthropometry refers to the measurement of living human individuals for the purposes of understanding human physical variation. Today, anthropometry plays an important role in industrial design, clothing, design, ergonomics and architecture where satistical data about the distribution of body dimensions in the population are used to optimize product. The objective of this paper is to discuss anthropometric aspect of school furnitures for elementary schools in Indonesia. This study used library research and descriptive analysis. The result show that there are six critical dimensions of school furnitures taken from literature study are reviewed: seat height, seat depth, seat width, backrest height, table height and underneath table height. These critical dimensions are discussed from anthropometric perspective and their implications on student's health if the role of anthropometric of school furnitures design are nglected. It is recomended for the school decision makers, parents and whoever care for their children to pay attention seriously to the aspect of anthropology related the use of school chairs and tables for the sake of children's health.
