To provide an accurate quantity of course materials on time is one of the most important components in managing an Open Distance Education (ODE) Institution. Universitas Terbuka (UT) is an ODE institution that has 36 regional offices across Indoneia. These UPBJJs function as students service centers in the region, including providing the course materials. With UT’s current system, students are not required to buy course materials for courses they registered. Therefore there is no correlation between the courses taken and course materials required by students. This causes difficulties in predicting the quantity of each course materials in a given semester. To improve delivery system of the course materials, this article offers some suggestions such as early registration system, intensive coordination regarding course materials data, and coordination between UPBJJs and UT Head Office.
