This article is based on a research conducted to gain a general view on accessibilities and constraints in using available learning media in Indonesia. Respondents of the research were Universitas Terbuka (UT) students and grade 10 Senior High School students which were categorized in three area: province, district, and sub district. Data were collected using questionnaire and limited interview. The data were analyzed using qualitative analysis. The results showed that accessibility of books, radio, and television as learning media is very high. In term of time constraint most of the respondents stated that they did not face time constraints in using books, magazines, and news papers. The profile of accessibility and constraints in using learning media as reflected in the research would be useful for distance education institute in preparing and selecting a feasible media for their students.
