One of government’s responsibilities is to provide affordable basic necessities for its people. At the same time, government has to maintain the country’s economic outlook. One of its efforts is reflected in government budget which details income and expenditure of the government. To balance the budget, government should pay closed attention to each item. One of the items is amount of subsidize. This article analyzes the impact of subsidize in government of Indonesia state budget of 2005. Condition during the first few months of 2005 forces Indonesia government to take stern action to change its 2005 state budget. For years, the government subsidize in-country oil price. However, with the current significant increasing of world-oil price, government has to re-consider the amount of subsidize provided.
