In Indonesia, agricultural sector has provided the highest shares of jobs. Unfortunately, the labours are unskilled and uneducated. In agricultural development, a shortage in education level is the major constraint and therefore training and education for farmers are required. If the farmers are trained and educated properly they will adopt the new technology rapidly. The Government of Indonesia implements Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Project with the goal to enhance farmers’ knowledge and skills. Trainings on IPM farmers conducted through Farmer’s Field School (FFS) does not only learn pest control methods but also agronomics, fertilizer application, and safeguarding of plants including prevention of plant diseases. The result of IPM project is decrease in pesticides use and increases in level of farm’s efficiency, which gives positive impacts on social and economic life of the farmers.
