Isi artikelWhether one believes that ocean pollution will become a problem in the future depends in part upon one's view of man's future. There is a school of thought that claims we cannot continue to expend our natural resources at the present rate or we will run out of these resources. it is suggested that man will have to change his way of living, particularly in the highly developed nations, if he is to survive. The statistics which can be marshalled in making this case are good and the arguments are persuasive. If they are correct, then we can reasonably hope that, as man returns to a less resource-consuming mode of the life, the chances of major ocean-pollution will diminish.
