Isi artikel
During 1969-1996, Indonesian economy was growing rapidly. What are the sources of that highly economic growth? This research will attempt to answer this question using growth equation model developed by Rana and Dowling (1988). Results show that foreign direct investment, import of goods, and government expenditures have been giving negative impacts on economic growth. Meanwhile, government foreign debt, private foreign debt, domestic investment, export of goods, government savings, private savings, tax revenue, and labor force have been giving positive impacts. Statistically, there are two variables that have been giving significant impacts. For 1969-1996, domestic investment, export of goods, government savings, private savings, tax revenue, and labor force were became the sources of Indonesian economic growth. These empirical results gave a major implication, i.e. the government have to make a framework for the long-run macroeconomic management.
