The survey work is only one component of a pilot project examining the social impacts of tourism on the Freycinet community, with the intention of developing indicators that could assist in monitoring the growth and development of tourism and the impacts that this has on the community. Other components to the study included community workshops and the collection of secondary data such as crime rates and cost of living.
