This article discusses decentralization issues in line with good governance. Until now, there is no Indonesian words for good governance (GG). In some cases, GG reflects management activities while in other cases GG merely means standard operating procedure (SOP). In fact, there are more than just management or OP could be derived from GG. This is even more important in the era of regional autonomy. In order to be able to carry out regional autonomy as it is stated in UU No. 22/1999 effectively, all sectors have to implement GG. All sectors include those who works in government (executives and legislatives) as well as those who work outside of government (society and non governmental groups). They all have to work hand in hand and follow GG.
