This article is based on a research of Kalipang Villagers ritual activity in Lodoyo Blitar. The research was conducted in a three months period in 2000 using qualitative approach. Information was collected using snowball sampling technique. The result showed that the emergence of ritual activity was caused by cultural characteristic of Java sincretic which adopted from another culture. A collective awareness from ritual practitioners which formed social integration was found to be causative factor of how ritual activity endures hundreds years of existence. Others factors were internalization from generation to generation and externalization which was enlarging the social rules for the communities to keep on the ritual. Meanwhile, public fanatism of the ritual itself can not be separated from the myth that had been developed in Lodoyo’s community: the ritual have to be carried out consistently.
