This article is based on a research on the leadership and style differences between the operational units of Jakarta Police Department and its effect to style and job satisfaction. Two leadership styles, initiating structure and consideration style, proposed by The Ohio University Research were used to 179 police in six units (Brimob, IPP, Reserse, Bimmas, Sabhara and Lantas). Analysis of Varian (ANOVA) was used to measure the effect of leadership style while Path analysis was used to measure effect of leadership style on performance and job satisfaction. The result showed that there is no difference on leadership style between operational units in Jakarta Police Department. Initiating structure style had significant effect only to Bimmas’ unit. Consideration style had significant effect to Bimmas, Sabhara, and Lantas. Both Initiating and Conside-ration style had significant effect on job satifaction in Lantas.
