Isi artikel
One of the intellectual giants who has influenced economic thought over two generations, Professor Morgenstern was born in Germany in 1902. He obtained his doctorate in political science at the University of Vienna in 1925 and began working as a journalist prior to becoming an adviser to the Austrian Government. In 1936, he was appointed a member of the Committee of Statistical Experts of the League of nations, and he came to the United States two years later. He coauthored the landmark work Theory of Games and Economic Behavior with John von Neumann in 1944. In this searching enquiry, Dr. Morgenster challenges traditional assumptions concerning growth, utility and welfare-and finds that economists are not without blame for the widespread acceptance of primitive concepts.
