A specialist in international economics and author of the recent book Multinationals As Mutual Invaders: Intra-industry Direct Foreign Investment, Asim Erdilek is professor of economic at Case Western Reserve University. He has been a consultant to private organizations and U.S. Government agencies, as well as to the United Nations. This article is based on Dr. Erdilek's address, "Recent Trends and Issues in West-to-West International Technology Transfer," at the World Future Society Economy in August 1985.
