An economist with the U.S. Department of Labor discusses the various macroeconomic and microeconomic factors that have palyed a role in creating a huge number of jobs in the United States in recent years. Ronald E. Kutscher is Associate Commissioner, Office of Economic Growth and Employment Projections, of the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Mr. Kutscher has consulted with the governments of several countries on employment growth and human resources planning, and he has served as a member of U.S. delegations to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
