Isi artikelApproaching the end of 1998, there are some signs of improvement in the national economy. Certainly, since the beginning of the fourth qualrtal of 1998, some economic indicator have shown better trends than previously. The relaxing of the tight liquidity policy can be seen from the continous decreases in the cut off rates (CORs) of Bank Indonesia Certificates (SBI). At present, the COR for one month SBI's hovers around 50% p.a., whereas before it had reached around 70%. It will hopefully be around 40% p.a. by the end of this year.
