This prediction is well founded, since Indonesia has quite a large reserve of natural forest to provide the raw materials for the pulp and paper industries. Moreover, the present development of industrial forest (hutan tanaman industri/HTI), which is being encouraged by the government, gives a chance for investors to participate in the utilisation of the natural rresources, while helping with preservation steps to ensure its continuity.
