This article discusses derivational nouns with the "pe-an" prefixation based on morpho-syntactical approach. Noun as one of the lexical categories is significant in terms of grammar. Derivational nouns in Indonesian are quite productive and they are one of the lexical categories that plays an important role in language activities. The researcher finds it interesting to discuss derivational nouns with the "pe-an" by using morpho-syntactical approach. As far as the researcher knows there is so far no researcher who uses this approach. It is found out that the sense of derivational noun consists of (1) person (agent, characteristic, occupation, patient), (2) result, (3) process on action, (4) device, (5) place, (6) matter, (7) condition, (8) abstractness, (9) uniqueness, (10) collection, and (11) time; derivational nouns can be limited either at the front or back, derivational nouns can be expanded to the left or right with different formulae; derivational nouns can function as subject, predicate, object, and adverb.
