Isi artikel
Multinational enterprises can be a powerful vehicle for the transfer of commercial-industrial technologies to developing nations if appropriate policies are followed, particularly by the host nation, says the author. A specialist in international economics and economic development, Han X. Vo is an associate professor of economics at Winthrop College. He was earlier associated with Department of Economics at the UNiversity of Tennessee. This article is excerpted from a paper titled "North-South Technology Transfer: The Role of Transnationals Reassessed," presented by Dr. Vo at the Global Development Conference sponsored by the World Academy of Development and Cooperation.
