Stanley Fischer is professor of economics at the Masschusetts Institute of Technology and a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). Dr. Fischer has also taught at the University of Chicago and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and he has been a consultant to the U.S. State Department.
