The purpose of this research is to investigate and to prove empirially about the impact of high school major and gender with student academic record in financial accounting at STIE Musi. Hypothesis in this research is being tested with multiple regressions. The results shows that gender does not influence student academic record. It probably caused by social and culture environment as intervening variables. Little influence og the two variables makes possible to add another variables as moderating variables that makes influence of high school major and gender more significants to student academic record in STIE Musi Palembang.
