Isi artikel
Dr. Hollis Chenery, vice president for development policy at World Bank has specialized in economic development for more than 20 years, dividing his time between teaching, research and government assignments. He came to the Bank in 1970 from Harvard University where he was professor of economics and had earlier received his doctorate. Dr. Chenery worked as an economist during the Marshall Plan Era in France, Italy and Turkey. He later founded the Research Center in Economic Growth at Stanford University and, from 1961 to 1965, was an assistant administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development. Dr. Chenery brings his expertise to bear here on the causes of the world's economic difficulties prior to outlining the changes necessary to the restoration of orderly growth.
