Mostly, monetary policy of Bank Indonesia rise polemic. There are ones that do agree, while others do not. However, using effective communication strategy would minimize risks that might prevail due tothis polemic, especially to those that disagree on the policy announced. In order to communicate the monetary policy effectively, it is necessary that Bank Indonesia segment the addressee. Segmentation is based on social economic status and awareness on monetary policy issues. Conscious and attention segments are those who care and seek for information about monetary policy issues. Contrary easy going and unaware segments are those who are do not care about monetary policy issues. This paper aims o propose the effective strategy on communicating the monetary policies of Bank Indonesia while addressing the different segments. Public relation and publicity is consodered the appropriate method of communicating monetary policies to the conscious and attention segments. While advertising is considered most effectie in order to reach the easy going and unaware segments. (Upload Full-Text_Ali_Desember 2023)
