Isi artikel
In a global survey, the author describes how development is under way in many countries to perfect salt-gradient solar ponds as a potential useful form of energy, particularly for water and space heating and potentially, if develped on a larger scale, for such purposes as industrial processing and electicity generation. Michael Edesess, an energy and investment consultant, is manager of energy research and development marketing with Flow Research Company, a division of Flow Industries, Inc. This article is adapted from an article by Dr.Edesess, "On Solar Ponds: Salty Fare for the World's Energy Appetite," that appeared in a recent issue of Technology Review.
