Raymond Vernon is a distinguished international economist and educator. He served as a member of the U.S. delegation to the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade in the early 1950s. Dr. Vernon has been associated with Harvard University asince 1959, directing its Center for International Affairs from 1973 to 1978; he is currently professor of international relations.
