Isi artikel
The ending of the era of plentiful and cheap supplies of oil has had many explosive effects on the world economic system. How did the international oil system evolve into its present state? Will oil prices continue to rise? How much oil is left in the United States? What is being done to promote the discovery of new oil? These and other crucially important questions are discussed in the following five articles. The first article is drawn from the two opening chapters of Energy Future, a widely acclaimed book based on the Energy Project at the Harvard Business School. Robert Stobaugh and Daniel Yergin were the book's co-editor. Dr. Stobaugh, a professor of business administration at the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration, headed the project. Dr Yergin is a lecturer at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, at Harvard and directs the International Energy Seminar at the University's Center for International Affairs. Othe contributors, all associated with Harvard, include I.C. Bupp, Mel Horwitch, Sergio Koreisha, Modesto A. Maidique, and Frank Schuller.
