Isi artikelBackground: The aim of this study is 10 provide an evidence that good results from MMPI-Adolescent (MMPI-A) test - which assess physical and mental health, motivation on learning, self-internal and interpersonal relation, work capacity, behavior problem, support from family/social and substance abuse - correlates with good academic data of Junior High School students. Method: This is an analytic escriptive cross sectional study towards the population of Damai Junior High School students in Jakarta. They must join MMPI-A test and the academic data was collected from their teachers. Then, the MMPI-A profile and academic data will be analyzed statistically. Result: There are an appropriateness between MMPI-A profile dan academic data. Good physical and mental health, high motivation on learning, good self-internal and interpersonal-relation, good work capacity, free from any behaviour problem, fully support from family/social, and free from any substance abuse will correlate with good academic data with odds ratio 15.-/, 27.8, 8.6, 9.9,8.6, 2.7, 3.5, and 3.3 each. MMPI-A profile that have high correlation with good academic data are good physical and mental health, high motivation on learning, and fully support from family/social with odds ratio 40.6, 20.6, and 3.5 each. Resume: MMPI-A test can be used to predict the academic data of a Junior High School student. Poor profile of MMPI-A could be early intervented for a better academic data
