William E. Brock became Secretary of Labor in April of 1985, after serving in the Reagan Administration for more than four years as United States Trade Representative and as chairman of the cabinet-level Trade Policy Committee. He is currently also serving on the Economic Policy council, the President's Advisory Council on Private Sector Initiatives, and the President's Task Force on Regulatory Relief.
