Repelita V immediately came into effect. It is hoped that all the goals described in Repelita V can be achieved so that the overall national development plan will move further towards its ultimate objective. An idea of the extent to which the goals stated in Repelita V will be achieved may be obtained by examining them in the light of the experience gained with Repelita IV. Such an abjective comparison should serve to provide a more concrete background against which the proposed aims can be more easily evaluated.
