Isi artikel
In devising structural policy for the Federal Republic of Germany following the Second World War, the "Social Market Economy" was described as a "Third Way" between "unbridled liberalism" (Manchesterism, neo- or ordoliberalism) and "totalitarian socialism". The founders of this, Ludwig Erhard and in particular A. Muller-Armack saw it as a design for a future German, and even European, economic society.
