Dr. Donald S. Kaufman: A 55-year-old man was referred to this hospital for management of prostate cancer. He had been well until approximately 1 year earlier, when he noted the progressively decreasing force of his urinary stream, increasing urinary urgency, and nocturia up to four times per night. At that time, he had noted decreased libido for several months, but his erections were adequate for intercourse.
