The Western philosophers' thinking from Thales, Plato, Aristotle to Descartes and Locke is deemed to have harmful impact on human perspective on ecology. Their views are regarded as limiting perspective development on ecology, reducing ethical appreciation on nature, inhibiting the birth on concept of conservation of nature, promoting ignorant to nature, and becoming a stand point in refusing of caring the nature. Therefore, in 1970s and 1980s, scholars mainly fro Anglo-American introduced new reform movement on environmental ethic. Their views then can be classified into anthropocentric, non-anthropocentric, mixed, deep ecology, and eco-feminism. However, the manifestation of the Western thoughts should be implemented wisely especially to the Eastern societies that have different social structure background.
