Corporation as an artificial legal person has been acknowledged as an moral agent, beside economic agent, by virtue of Law No. 40 Year 2007 that requires the implementation of corporate social and environmental responsibility especially to those operating in natural resources sector. In addition to maximize profit, the corporation is obliged to create values to the worker, consumer, local community and environment. The mandator legal approach taken is deemed appropriate in consideration of Indonesian business character. Nonetheless. the scope of CSR obligation in Law No. 40 Year 2007 should have been extended in order to guarantee the sustainability of human and nature.
