Suyatno. The Study of Market Structure and Production and Inventory Management on demand basis of Crystal Ice-block Industry in Banjarmasin. The crystal ice-block is the finished good on crystal ice-block industry that is inventory for selling. The main market target are the individuals of fishery industry in Banjarmasin. The main objectives of this research: (1) evaluating the market structure and its prospect and marketing strategy in the crystal ice-block industry; (2) evaluating the optimality of production and inventory management of the industry based on the sample data which is collected using purposive sampling. The evaluation procedure used Production Optimim Quantity model that is suitable for this industry production characteristic. The research method used an ex post facto by tracing the documents of demand, supply, production and inventory management data on period 2000 till 2006.
