Abstract
George
Walker Bush has won his second term. It was a tough
campaign and a close election. The country was divided and
Washington was deeply polarized. Bush has defeated Senator
John Kerry by more than 3 million popular votes and 34 in the Electoral
College. But it took a slight reminiscent of 2000, when Bush beat Al Gore
by 537 disputed votes in Florida. This time that state was Ohio. But unlike
Florida, there was a quick resolution. There simply were not enough
Uncounted "provisional ballots" in Ohio to make it clear that counting
them would change the result. Bush then has another four years to
govern.
