Infectious diseases are the principal cause of death in the world. These pathologies strike most in the poorest regions of the palnet and are responsible for 45% of the causes of death in low-income countries and for 5% of the causes of death in high-income countries. There is a strong associations between the gross domestic product of a country and the incidence of infectious diseases-poverty is the factor that most fosters the development of infectious diseases is an important obstacle to the economic growth and development of a country. There are various reasons for this association.
