The survey was carried out during the course of 2001 in 121 countries belonging to seven continental regions: Western and Eastern Europe, North America and Central and South America, Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East. This was an explanotory study in which an attempt was made to indentify the great questions relating to the Catholic health care world, a world that would possibly be returned to later with ad hoc research projects having clearer and more work plans.
