Thailand, known as Siam before 1939, is located in the Southeast Asian region. The country now has a population of 61 millions. Buddhism is the main religion (95%), followed by Islam (4%) and Catholicism accounts for only 250,000 of the total (0.4%). The Church in Thailand has 10 dioceses. There are 400 native fathers, 225 consecrational fathers, 1445 sisters and 120 brothers.
