Isi artikelThis paper presents the development of a Web telerobotic system and its use as a supplement to the teaching of robotics through a set of experimental tasks related to real industrial robot processes. Using an intuitive interface and a simplified workspace to guarantee operability and safety, the system allows a high degree of real-time interaction with an industrial robot. The system is evaluated on a comparative basis by assessing the performance of a local and a remote student group. Using t-test statistics, one can see that both groups perform equally well, given the appropriate familiarization time.
