New Law on General Elections has been passed on March 2008. Compared to the previous Law 12/2003 on General Elections, the new Law brought about significant changes on several aspects of general elections for members of DPR, DPD, and DPRD. The changes covered not only the structure of the Law that eleborates rules and regulations of electoral process in much detail, but also the substance of the legislation elections, especially that of the national level (DPR).
