Isi artikel
No, IT's not a scene from Close Encounters of the Thrid Kind. More than 3.300 feet below the earth's surface, in remote Esterhazy, Saskatchewan, lies the world's largest concentration of potash, a crystalline mineral used in fertilizer. The mine is owned by the Mosaic Co., the world's second largest producer of potash (after Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan). Because its crystals are fragile, potash can't dumped down the grated hatch at right all at once; instead, the drill-like machine slowly lowers it into Mosaic's warehouse, where it awaits shipment to distributors.
