Air contamination can not be separated from fuel utilization for motor vehicle, which contain lead (Pb) in the fuel compound. Least contains in fuel coumpound is difficult to be eliminated due to the combustion system of motor vehicle. Indonesian Ministry of Enviroment and The Institution of Cooperation for the Fuel not lead (KPBB) have conducted a monitoring program of fuel quality at 10 (ten) megacities in Indonesia in Indonesia and use the monitoring result as a standard of fuel quality in Indonesia. Type of fuel which is tes are public fuel (premium) and diesel fuel with parameter of research are Lead rate (Pb) and Assess Octane (for premium) and Cetane index, Sulphur & Distilasi (for the diesel fuel). The result of fuel quality monitoring in 10 megacities indicate that most regions in Indonesian are still supplied by fuel that conyains lead, especially at megacities from outer Java island.
