South East Asia has opportunity to serve the world with the bounty of their tropical rain forest as a paradise of natural resources and biodiversity to increase quality of life for their people and as a sink of atmospheric pollution for the blue sky and fresh air of the world. Microbes have been used since thousands of years ago to produce fermented food, pharmaceutical industries, and treatment of wastewater. Bioremediation technology, which used microbes, has been developed and used successfully in recent years for biodegradation of hazardous substances. This technology is a promising technology because it is an ecologically sound process. Problems in aquaculture that have been growing concerned recently in Southeast Asia Region, could be used this remediation technology to increase sustainable shnmp production and to improve quality of life for their people.
