This research aims to know the relationship between independent learning and achievement in Financial Management Course. The hypthesis of this research is there was a positive relationship between independent learning and achievement in Financial Management Course. The population of this research was all Universitas Terbuka students registered in Financial Management Course in 2003.2 in the area of Jakarta Regional Centre. The numbers of population were 516 students and samples were 130 students (25%) selected by using random sampling technique. Data were collected by using questionnaires. The result show that there is a positive relationship between independent learning and achievement in Financial Management Course. Based on the results, it is concluded that the higher students’s achievement in the course.
