Isi artikel
The mastery of clinical medicine involves many skills, principal among them the management of uncertainty. Uncertainty can result from many factors, singly or in combination. These include incomplete knowledge of health and disease, untested hypotheses about the causes or management of diseases, and errors of diagnosis and treatment. Uncertainty can also result from competing scientific claims, hypotheses, and theories, for example, about the role of cellular genetic changes in normal aging and in malignancy.
