Isi artikel
This article presents a field study of the effect of shopping environment on shoppping behaviour. The previous research documents the relationship among physical store environment, shoppers emotions, and subsequent shopping behaviour. Using mehrabian and russell's environmental psychology (the three PAD dimensions) to measure of emotional state, this study confirmed the proposed model. This study also extends the past research by considering impulsive buying as a subsequent shopping behaviour. Structural equation analysis confirms that emotional state can be predictor resource expenditure and shopping evaluations. Theoretical and managerial implications of the findings are discussed, and future research directions are proposed.
