This research is aimed the relationship between understanding of UT students on distance learning achievement (2) the students’ motivation of learning with the learning achievement (3) students’ understanding on distance learning system and the motivation, and results of learning. The research was conducted at the study group of UT students in Jakarta regional office on April, 2003. The research shows that there are three categories of result: positive relationship between the students understanding on distance learning system and their achievement; a positive relationship between the students learning motivation and their achievement; a positive relationship between students understanding of distance learning system, their learning motivation and their achievement.
