Isi artikel
This issue of the Journal features six essays that focus on discrete topics but also reveal a common concern. Most broadly, they raise significant questions about the cogency and applicability of certain regnant assumptions in theoretical, clinical, and policy bioethics. Despite the variety of topics and approaches, the articles, taken together, exhibit anew what Laurence McCullough, in a recent issue of the Journal, described as a core function of scholarship in bioethics and in the humanities more generally; viz., “taking the critical turn” (McCullough, 2005).
