Isi artikelThe hold-up of a part of hydrodynamic is of fundamental importance in the design of agiated liquid-liquid exracition column. The design of agitated liquid-liquid exraction columns requires determination of a suitable interfacial area required to achieve a specified degree of mass transfer. The selecting of hold-up correlations with some variables affecting are key component to achieve a specified degree of mass transfer. The correlations of hold-up in RDC are divided into three of equations i.e. The characteristic velocity, drag relationships and explicit correlations. An explanation for this is presented.
